This solution is ideal for applications where your computers need to be placed in a remote location or you need your monitor, keyboard, and mouse to reach further than the 25 feet length limitation experienced by most KVM switches. This is common in industrial applications such as manufacturing lines or clean rooms, server rooms, or for presentation and training applications

This passive VGA Balun pair allows for a VGA video signal to be transmitted via 4-pair shielded Cat 5 twisted pair cable. The shielded Cat 5 is only required if you are going to connect a laptop. If you have installed or are going to use non-shielded Cat 5, then consider the Products 500040 and either of the 500041 or 500042. The maximum distances are: 450 ft. for 640x480 pixels (15MHz); 350 ft. for 800x600 pixels (30MHz); 250 ft. 1024x768 pixels (60MHz); 200 ft. for 1280x1074 pixels (100MHz).

Applications: Typical applications include classroom video distribution, overhead projector systems, PC-training systems, and tradeshow demo systems.

In the boardroom or classroom you can easily connect the VGA balun to the laptops of different presenters and save time, instead of playing musical chairs with every presenter getting up and moving closer to the projector.

The VGA Balun transmits RGB video, horizontal and vertical synchronization pulses and works in conjunction with PC, VGA splitters, VGA signal extenders, laptops, and VGA monitors and LCD projector screens.

The Converge A/V long range VGA over Cat5 receiver for the ST124UTPE (4 port Cat5 VGA extender) and ST128UTPE (8 port Cat5 VGA extender) allows a monitor to be connected up to 300m / 950ft away from the source. The unit has an RJ45 connector to accept the incoming video signals, and a HDDB15 connector for the monitor to plug into. The ST124UTPE or ST128UTPE base unit is required.
Allow Converge A/V to provide you with digital signage solutions. Applications include airports, bus depots, retail, or any large buildings where video needs to be delivered at long distances.
